How We Launched Tetr and Setup Global Admissions Engine From Day 0 - and Scaled Admissions 2x in Year 2

Tetr launched with a fundamentally different proposition for undergraduate education: learn business by building businesses across the world. Students would learn through real-world entrepreneurship and global immersion rather than a conventional classroom-first model.

But launching something this differentiated created an equally unusual acquisition challenge.

Tetr was targeting the top 1% of students globally – students who already had access to prestigious universities and established education pathways. The task wasn’t simply to generate applications. We had to make an unfamiliar institution credible enough for students – and their parents – to seriously consider it alongside some of the world’s most established universities.

And we were doing it from Day 0 of the brand.

Key Business Challenge

Build Tetr’s global demand and admissions engine from scratch - establishing the positioning, generating qualified demand across dozens of countries, and creating enough conviction to convert exceptional students in the brand’s very first cohort.

Before Building the Engine, We Diagnosed
Where a Breakthrough Product Needed an Equally Different Acquisition Model

The Product Needed Explaining Before Selling

“Learn while building businesses across countries” was powerful precisely because it was unfamiliar. Traditional education advertising couldn’t communicate the proposition adequately.

We Weren’t Competing Only for Leads

The same high-achieving students Tetr wanted were evaluating established universities globally. Winning meant creating preference, not merely capturing education intent.

Global Scale Could Easily Destroy Lead Quality

Reaching 40+ countries meant radically different audience pools, costs and behaviours. Optimising purely for CPL could fill the CRM while weakening the admissions pipeline.

From Launching a New Education Brand to
Building a Global, Full-Funnel System for Demand, Trust and Admissions

Positioning the Difference

Instead of making Tetr look like another university, messaging made its unconventional model the reason to consider it – global exposure, entrepreneurship and learning through building real businesses.

Platform Roles Full Funnel

Meta and Google captured and developed demand at scale, while Reddit, X and LinkedIn created additional discovery and credibility touchpoints for audiences researching Tetr more deeply.

Messaging Architecture

Communication strengthened credibility, outcomes and confidence in the institution.

Student + Parent Messaging

Built different persuasion layers for the two decision-makers. Student communication leaned into ambition and experience; parent communication strengthened credibility, outcomes and confidence in the institution.

Global Influence a Trust Accelerator

Leveraged assets featuring global creators such as Nas Daily not simply for reach, but as credibility signals that made an new education brand easier to investigate and trust.

We treated Tetr as both a brand-building and performance marketing mandate from Day 0. Messaging, media, landing experiences and CRM journeys were designed together - because for a decision this consequential, no single ad or channel could do the selling.

The strongest proof wasn’t the volume of leads.
It was that in Tetr’s very first year, students from across the world chose a completely new institution and an unconventional model of education over more established alternatives.
That validated something much bigger than campaign efficiency: performance marketing had helped an unknown education proposition build enough trust and desirability to compete for globally ambitious students from its first cohort itself.

Our Learnings
We Don’t Just Generate Education Leads

We Build Demand and Conviction for High-Stakes Decisions
01

When the product challenges an established category, explaining the difference is part of acquisition - not something brand marketing can solve separately.

02

Premium education has two funnels running simultaneously: aspiration for the student and confidence for the parent. Both have to converge before an admission happens.

03

Global lead generation becomes dangerous when CPL becomes the north star. Media needs feedback from deeper admissions outcomes to distinguish cheap demand from valuable demand.

04

For a new institution, brand and performance cannot operate independently. Every credibility-building touchpoint makes the next performance interaction easier to convert.

For us, global education marketing isn’t about filling an admissions funnel – it’s about building enough belief for exceptional students to choose a new path.
